
Miguel Angel Martinez Monje grew up in Alicante, Spain. As a young boy he loved rockets, spaceships and robots. He built (and destroyed) LEGO models of his favourite TV series like Mazinger Z and Space 1999 and later, while watching movies like Tron and Star Wars he developed a passion for mechanical and vehicle design.
He graduated as an engineer at the Polytechnical University of Catalunya, Barcelona, Back then, he drew at every possible spare moment, built and made his own model designs, and freelanced as a 3D artist and illustrator. At this point, he became interested in animation as a way of giving life to his ideas. He produced a CG shortfilm reel and started his career at Oniria Pictures in Luxembourg. His reel Cosmonaut Koverchenko got double awarded at the non official section of the international Imagina Montecarlo Festival . After working in the animated feature film Renart The Fox and Bob's Beach TV series, he moved to Amsterdam, Guerrilla-Games were he became a Senior Visual Designer, and the responsible for many of the Environment, Vehicle and Mechanical Concept Designs in Killzone2. Currently he is working on the next Sony Computer Entertainment / Guerrilla-Games Project.
